Invited by the ASSITEJ Korea, from January 6 to 10, President Yin Xiaodong of China National Theatre for Children (CNTC) attended the 12th ASSITEJ Korea Winter Festival, Seoul 2016. During the winter festival, Yin Xiaodong, President of ASSITEJ China, Asaya Fujita, President of ASSITEJ China and Kim Sookhee, President of ASSITEJ Korea signed a cooperative memorandum, which has been discussed on July 2015.
Signing a Cooperative Memorandum
The memorandum decides that on the 6th China Children's Theater Festival will firstly hold an "Asia Children Drama Show", mainly exhibiting Japanese and Korean Dramas. And the following years it will be held in Japan and Korea. This marks the further and deeper cooperation between china, Japan and Korea in children drama field. It will contribute the normalization and sustainability of exchange in Asia represented by China, Japan and Korea.
President Yin Xiaodong Delivered a Sppech at the Openning Ceremony
Mr. Yin delivered a speech at the opening ceremony the meeting, and artists from China, Japan, Korea and other countries conducted an extensive communication. As one part of the Winter Festival, the roundtable provided an international platform for Korean artists to talk with delegates working on children dramas from all over the world. During the roundtable, President Yin introduced the experience and fundamental state of CNTC, providing effective and successful examples of CNTC in international cooperation and communication.

During the Winter Festival, we are honored to enjoy the local Korean drama shows, especially the "PARKCHUMJI RETURNS", which is the only existing Korean traditional puppet theatre. It is a masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO as well as Korea's Important Intangible Cultural Property No. 3. And other pieces like Hello, My Hero, A Bird Story, Cheon-Ha-Mu-PPong and Floating Boat are all full of different characteristics, showing a trend and development of Korean children dramas.
