The China National Theatre for Children has recently published a commemorative album, a festschrift. They also hosted an exhibition to review its development path since its founding in 1956.
Meanwhile, a commemoration conference was held within the theatre, during which veteran artists who used to perform for children have received awards from Minister of Culture Luo Shugang Vice Minster of Culture Dong Wei.
Founded in 1956, the China National Theatre for Children, or CNTC for short, is the only national-level children's art troupe in China. over the past six decades, the theatre staged over 160 classic national international children's plays, widely acclaimed by children, parents schools.
Last but not the least, a half-year long show season has already kicked off last month, bringing together a total of 45 dramas in 352 shows to 50 cities around China.
After watching the shows, young audiences in Beijing, where the theatre is located, are also welcome to buy their favorite souvenirs, which were newly made on the basis of classic drama literature including T-shirt, transport card, dolls small stickers.
