On October 29th, Mr. Yang Fan, vice president of China National Theatre for Children met with Mr. Henrik Kohler, president of Denmark International Children’s Festival in our theatre. They discussed about the future cooperation of the festival both in China and Denmark as well as other performing issures.

    Mr. Yang Fan said it is neccesary for them to have face-to-face meeting, not only for mutural understanding and horizon widening, but also can contribute to the relationship between CNTC and Denmark. CNTC was founded in 1956, during the 58 years, our theatre has produced more than 180 outstanding children’s theatre productions which have became fruitful performing resource of our theatre. Nowadays, we begin to pay more and more attention on going outside to overseas countries, and we got a tremendous breakthrough on international communication of children’s theatre. Only for this year, we have been performed in Canada, Columbia, Poland, Mongolia, France. President Yin Xiaodong will bring Journey to the West to Thailand soon. Next month, three productions will be brought to Berlin and Weißensee of Germany.

    Mr. Yang Fan also introduced “China Children’s Theatre Festival” to Henrik. Until 2014, this annual festival has been held for 4 times successfully, each year about 20 groups, 45 productions visit the festival, around 150,000 audiences watch more than 200 shows. Until this year, the festival has invited artists from 16 countries. “We hope Mr. Henrik can visit our theatre in the future, and bring us more outstanding children’s theatre from Denmark.”Mr. Yang Fan said.
Henrik is always interested in Chinese culture, and very focus on the development of Chinese Children’s Theatre. He felt honored to visit our theatre and coummunicate with us, he hoped we can have much more opportunity to collaborate with each other. Henrik also invited us to participate in Denmark International Children’s Festival next year.
