In August 6th 15:00, "Cinderella" was premiered by Romania Children Comic Opera Theatre in China National Theatre for Children.
“Cinderella” is Romania Children Comic Opera Theatre’s first repertoire in China. It is also the only ballet children theatre that was invited to the 6th China Children’s Theatre Festival. The theatre uses the form of ballet and tells the classic "Cinderella" story. The collision of theatre and ballet helps audiences see Cinderella harvest happiness with the help of the fairy in the rotating jumping toe. There’s seldom ballet theatre in children’s theatre. It is also an important highlight of the 6th China Children’s Theatre Festival. This theatre gets closer to audiences with its relaxing and energetic performances. It changes the impression of audiences towards ballet theatre and was warmly welcomed by audiences. It also helped lots of kids get interested in ballet.
At the end of the show, the audiences applauded and were reluctant to leave. Many kids even tried to stand on their tiptoes and danced slightly in the theatre. Then, the president of China National Theatre for Children Mr. Yin Xiaodong and Romania Ambassador Mr. Gao Zhida, director of the Romania cultural center Mr. Lu came up to stage to congratulated the actors, and took group pictures together. Mr. Yin Xiaodong also represented the 6th China Children's Theatre Festival Organizing Committee and China National Theatre for Children presented “the outstanding performance of the sixth China Children’s Theatre Festival" certificate to the general manager Ms. Philip Felicia. Romania's ambassador to China, Mr. Gao Zhida, and the actors had a cordial conversation.
Before the show, Romania ambassador to China Mr. Gao Zhida and Mr. Yin Xiaodong talked and visited the art gallery of China National Theatre for Children. They also learnt about the 60 years of glorious history exhibition of CNTC. Ambassador Gao said, "China and Romania have a very profound historical friendship. The cultural and artistic exchanges between China and the Chinese have helped to promote mutual understanding between the two countries and promote the common development of children's theatre." Mr. Yin said, “Culture is used to exchange and mutual learning. We welcome more troupes and artists from Romania to cooperate with CNTC and look forward to exchanges and learning from each other.”
