Anchor: Over 30 children of the Tibetan ethnic group from northwest China's Qinghai Province have recently visited Beijing for a three-week long art summer camp with drama, dance, music and some additional arts programs.

They've made one of their stops at the China National Theatre for Children, where they joined a theatre workshop and practiced a drama called 'the Little Red Hat', or Xiao Hong Mao in Chinese.

Now let's follow our reporter Wang Lei to find out more.

These children all come from a local children's chorus in Guoluo Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai.

With the assistance from the China Association of Performing Arts, they embarked on their first-ever Beijing tour.

Bi Jianfeng is the project planner with this association.

"We have arranged a number of activities during this three-week long summer camp. In addition to the China National Theatre for Children, these children would also be taken to the National Ballet of China, China Central Folk Song and Dance Ensemble and China National Peking Opera Company. We hope these activities may enable them to learn new art knowledge so as to better inherit and boost their own ethnic culture."

Little Red Cap is one adorable and loveable girl, but obedience is not at the top of her priorities, which is kind of a problem in fairyland.

A choice of letting Tibetan children practice this classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale of good and evil in the workshop is an idea that came up from Yang Cheng, a young director and actor with the China National Theatre for Children.

"A total of 36 young students from different schools in Guoluo Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture are now visiting Beijing. Our theatre staff are all very happy to receive them. It is great to have this opportunity to open a theatre workshop for them and apply world advanced approaches to give them drama lessons. This way, we would allow them to feel the charm of theatre art. They are very enthusiastic about this workshop and also show a strong power of imagination."

At the theatre, these Tibetan children have also watched a children's drama Hua Mulan, which is based on a story about a brave woman soldier who dressed up as man and joined the army on behalf of her father.

Also they've got the chance to talk to the young performers in Hua Mulan, who all come from the Zhejiang Drama Ensemble to learn from them.

Finding these children filled with joy and eagerness to learn new knowledge, Bi Jianfeng promised that his association would hold this summer camp pro
