Opening Ceremony of The 8th China Children's Theatre Festival was held on July 14 evening.

    The 8th China Children's Theatre Festival will be held from July 14 to Aug. 25.

    The 43-day festival will provide a stage for 38 theatre groups from five continents to present 229 shows, with a wide-ranging repertoire of 61 children's dramas, according to China National Theatre for Children.

    The festival will not only include performances of children's dramas, but also seminars other theatrical events.

    It will be the first time that the BRICS Alliance of Theater for Children Young People will present a show.

    The International Association of Theatre for Children Young People will also host the 2018 Artistic Gathering during the festival.
