Press Conference of ASSITEJ Artistic Gathering 2018 was held in China National Theatre for Children on Aug.7th 2018.

   Last year in May, on the 19th ASSITEJ World Congress in Cape Town, South Africa, Together with China National Theatre for Children, ASSITEJ China has won the election of hosting ASSITEJ Artistic Gathering 2018 with an overwhelming majority of votes. Themed on “Imagining the Future”, ASSITEJ Artistic Gathering 2018 will welcome more than 500 international delegates from different national centers, networks artists, cultural managers, researchers theatre professionals of 46 countries to participate.

   Since our preparatory work started last October, we have received around 426 productions application from 56 countries, finally selected 18 productions of 16 art groups from 11 countries (including China, South Korea, USA, Israel, Romania, Norway, Australia, South Africa, Argentina, Croatia Poland) among the 426 submissions from 56 countries, which will make 53 performances in one week. Meanwhile, there will be s series of artistic activities to be held at the same time, including 2 Artistic Encounters, 21 workshops, 2 Multicultural Dialogues between East West, Next Generation Program, Symposium Seminars, TYA Theme Summer Camp, China Day Event, ASSITEJ Asian Work Meeting, International Children’s Book Fair TYA Photo Exhibition. All the performances activities will take place in many distinctive venues of Beijing.
