BEIJING, July 13 (Xinhua) -- "We are the terracotta warriors," a children's play, was staged in Beijing Saturday as part of the ninth China Children's Theater Festival.
Created performed by Xi'an Children's Art Theater, it aims to help children learn interpret China's history in a pleasant way encourage them to consciously protect pass on cultural heritage.
The play features a combination of pop music "Qinqiang," a distinctive opera from northwestern Shaanxi Province.
Wang Lihong, head of the theater, said that the play was expected to help Chinese youth build confidence in Chinese culture, through the art form of theater.
A total of 191 performances in 57 plays will be staged during this year's festival. Enditem
